We read the story "How I Spent My Summer Vacation" by Mark Teague this week. In this story, a boy named Wallace tells about being captured by cowboys during his summer vacation. Wallace learns all about life as a cowboy and we learned a lot about cowboys too! For example, cowboys wore specific things to help them survive. They wore wide-brimmed hats to protect their faces from the sun. Also, they wore boots to protect the legs and help their feet stay in the stirrups of their horses. So, today we used our imaginations and dressed up as cowboys and cowgirls! We made tasty trail mix and even learned a line dance! Yeehaw!

I didn't dress up like a cowgirl because I had to go to the dentist. If I didn't have to go then I would've dressed up but I didn't. I was so sad. P.S. I love how the class dressed! It was so funny!
