Polygon Power!

We have started our Geometry unit in Math! Boy, have we been busy! We read one of Mrs. E's favorite stories, "The Greedy Triangle." We learned that polygons are plane shapes that have line segments as sides. We used triangles to make many different kinds of polygons. Then, we catergorized these shapes according to how many sides and angles they have. Polygons with three sides are called triangles. Polygons with four sides are called quadrilaterals. Polygons with five sides are called pentagons and polygons with six sides are called hexagons. Our class agrees that Geometry is a lot of fun!
